Singapore has reclaimed its crown as the world’s most powerful passport in the 2025 Passport Index.
Japan is in second place with a score of 193.
Along with Sri Lanka, Iran and South Sudan also rank 96th in the index.
The Sri Lankan passport grants citizens visa-free access to 44 countries around the world.
In 2023, it was ranked 100th and in 2022, it was ranked 102nd.
The EU group of seven countries, Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden, share 4th place with visa-free access to 191 destinations, while five countries, Belgium, New Zealand, Portugal, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, follow in 5th place with 19 visa-free destinations.
Australia is in 6th place with 189 destinations, Canada is in 7th place with 188 destinations, and the United States is in 9th place with 186 destinations.

2025 වසරේ විදෙස් ගමන් බලපත්ර ශ්රේණිගත කිරීමේදී ලොව බලවත්ම විදේශ ගමන් බලපත්රය ලෙස සිංගප්පූරුව සිය කිරුළ නැවත ලබා ගැනීමට සමත්ව තිබෙනවා.
ජපානය ලකුණු 193 ක් ලබා ගනිමින් දෙවන ස්ථානයේ පත්ව ඇත.
ශ්රී ලංකාව සමඟ ඉරානය සහ දකුණු සුඩානය ද දර්ශකයේ 96 වන ස්ථානයට පත්ව තිබේ.
ශ්රී ලංකා විදේශ ගමන් බලපත්රය හරහා පුරවැසියන්ට ලෝකයේ රටවල් 44කට වීසා රහිත ප්රවේශය ලබා දෙනු ලැබේ.
2023 දී එය 100 වන ස්ථානයට සහ 2022 දී 102 වන ස්ථානයට පත්ව සිටියා.
ඔස්ට්රියාව, ඩෙන්මාර්කය, අයර්ලන්තය, ලක්සම්බර්ග්, නෙදර්ලන්තය, නෝර්වේ සහ ස්වීඩනය යන ගමනාන්ත 191කට වීසා රහිත ප්රවේශයක් ඇති රටවල් හතක EU කණ්ඩායමක් 4 වන ස්ථානය බෙදා ගන්නා අතර, බෙල්ජියම, නවසීලන්තය, පෘතුගාලය, ස්විට්සර්ලන්තය සහ එක්සත් රාජධානිය යන රටවල් පහක් වීසා රහිත ගමනාන්ත 19 ක් සමඟ 5 වන ස්ථානයේ පසු වෙයි.
ඕස්ට්රේලියාව, ගමනාන්ත 189 ක් සහිත 6 වන ස්ථානය ද, කැනඩාව, ගමනාන්ත 188 ක් සහිත 7 වන ස්ථානයද,ඇමරිකා එක්සත් ජනපදය, ගමනාන්ත 186ක් සහිත 9 වන ස්ථානයටද පැමිණ ඇත.
