President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, who departed for a state visit to China at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, arrived at the Beijing International Airport in China at around 10.25 am local time today (14).
The President was received by Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Chen Xiaodong with a state guard of honor from the Chinese military.
The route along which President Anura Kumara Dissanayake traveled was decorated with the national flags of the two countries.
During this state visit, the President is scheduled to participate in several field trips that prioritize technological and agricultural development as well as poverty alleviation, as well as several high-level business meetings.
Several MoUs will also be signed between the two countries during the visit.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath, Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation Bimal Ratnayake, Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong, and Sri Lankan Ambassador to China Majintha Jayasinghe were also present at the event.

චීන ජනාධිපති ෂී ජින් පිං (Xi Jinping) මහතාගේ ආරාධනයකට අනුව චීනයේ රාජ්ය සංචාරයකට පිටත්ව ගිය ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතා එරට වේලාවෙන් අද (14) පෙරවරු 10.25ට පමණ චීනයේ බීජිං ජාත්යන්තර ගුවන් තොටුපොළ වෙත ළඟා විය.
එහිදී චීන හමුදාවේ උත්කර්ෂවත් බුහුමන් සහිතව චීන නියෝජ්ය විදේශ අමාත්ය චෙන් ශියාඩොන් මහතා විසින් ජනාධිපතිවරයා පිළිගන්නා ලදී.
ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතා ගමන් ගත් මාර්ගය දෙපස දෙරටේ ජාතික ධජවලින් සරසා තිබිණි.
මෙම රාජ්ය සංචාරයේදී තාක්ෂණික හා කෘෂිකාර්මික සංවර්ධනය මෙන්ම දිළිඳුකම පිටුදැකීම ආදී අරමුණු පෙරටු කරගත් ක්ෂේත්ර චාරිකා කිහිපයකට මෙන්ම ඉහළ පෙළේ ව්යාපාරික හමු කිහිපයකට ද ජනාධිපතිවරයා එක්වීමට නියමිතය.
තවද මෙම සංචාරය අතරතුර දෙරට අතර අවබෝධතා ගිවිසුම් කිහිපයකට අත්සන් තැබෙනු ඇත.
විදේශ කටයුතු, විදේශ රැකියා සහ සංචාරක අමාත්ය විජිත හේරත්, ප්රවාහන, මහාමාර්ග, වරාය සහ සිවිල් ගුවන්සේවා අමාත්ය බිමල් රත්නායක, ශ්රී ලංකාවේ චීන තානාපති චී ජෙන්හොන්ග්, චීනයේ ශ්රී ලංකා තානාපති මජින්ත ජයසිංහ යන මහත්වරුද මෙම අවස්ථාවට එක්ව සිටියහ.
