The Secretary of the Railway Station Masters Association, R.M.S.P. Jayasundara, has written to the General Manager of Railways that if the approval of the Railway Station Masters recruitment procedure and the implementation of the five-year promotion system are further delayed, they will have to resort to trade union action.
In a statement, they have stated that the railway station masters have been inconvenienced by the continued delay in this task, which has also received cabinet approval.
The letter further states that if a solution is not found within the next 14 days, they will have to resort to trade union action.

දුම්රිය ස්ථානාධිපති බඳවාගැනීම් පටිපාටිය අනුමත කිරීම සහ වසර පහෙන් පහට උසස්වීම් ක්රමවේදය ක්රියාත්මක කිරීම තව දුරටත් ප්රමාද කළහොත් වෘත්තීය ක්රියාමාර්ගයකට එළැඹීමට සිදුවන බව දුම්රිය සාමාන්යාධිකාරීවරයාට දුම්රිය ස්ථානාධිපති සංගමයේ ලේකම් ආර්.එම්.එස්.පී. ජයසුන්දර ලිඛිතව දැනුම් දී තිබෙනවා.
කැබිනට් මණ්ඩල අනුමැතිය ද ලැබී ඇති මෙම කාර්යය දිගින් දිගටම ප්රමාද කිරීමෙන් දුම්රිය ස්ථානාධිපතිවරු දැඩි අපහසුතාවට පත්ව ඇති බවයි නිවේදනයක් නිකුත් කරමින් ඔවුන් සඳහන් කර ඇත්තේ.
ඉදිරි දින 14 තුළ විසඳුමක් නොලැබුණහොත් වෘත්තිය ක්රියාමාර්ගයකට එළැඹීමට සිදුවන බවයි අදාළ ලිපියේ වැඩිදුරටත් දක්වා තිබෙන්නේ.
