The Criminal Investigation Department has informed the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court that an investigation has been initiated into certain items that were recently missing from the Presidential Media Unit
The Criminal Investigation Department has informed the court that these investigations have been initiated following a complaint.
Officers of the Criminal Investigation Department have taken statements from the Procurement Officer regarding this incident and are scheduled to take statements from those who received these items.
The Criminal Investigation Department has also informed the court that steps will be taken to investigate the missing items and submit a list to the court in the future.
After considering the facts presented, Colombo Fort Magistrate Ms. Nilapuli Lankathilaka also ordered that the progress of these investigations be informed to the court in the future.
ජනාධිපති මාධ්ය ඒකකයේ තිබී පසුගිය කාලයේ අස්ථානගත වූ ඇතැම් භාණ්ඩ සම්බන්ධයෙන් විමර්ශනයක් ආරම්භ කර තිබෙන බව අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව කොළඹ කොටුව මහෙස්ත්රාත් අධිකරණයට දැනුම් දී තිබේ
ලද පැමිණිල්ලකට අනුව මෙම විමර්ශන කටයුතු ආරම්භ කර තිබෙන බව අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව අධිකරණයට දැනුම් දී ඇත.
අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ නිලධාරීන් විසින් මෙම සිද්ධියට අදාළව ප්රසම්පාදන නිලධාරියාගෙන් ප්රකාශ ලබාගෙන ඇති අතර, මෙම භාණ්ඩ භාරගත් අයගෙන් ප්රකාශ ලබාගැනීමට නියමිත බවත් සඳහන් කළේය.
මෙසේ අස්ථානගත වූ භාණ්ඩ මොනවාදැයි සොයා බලා ඒ පිළිබඳව ලැයිස්තුවක් ඉදිරියේ දී අධිකරණයට ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමට කටයුතු කරන බවද අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් අධිකරණයට දැනුම් දී ඇත.
ඉදිරිපත් වූ කරුණු සලකා බැලූ කොළඹ කොටුව මහෙස්ත්රාත් නිලපුළි ලංකාතිලක මහත්මිය මෙම විමර්ශනවල ප්රගතිය ඉදිරියේදී අධිකරණයට දැනුම් දෙන ලෙසත් නියෝග කළාය.
