The “Mahaweli Renaissance Week” series of programs implemented by the Sri Lanka Mahaweli Authority in conjunction with the “Clean Sri Lanka” national program, as per the current government policy statement titled “A Prosperous Country – A Beautiful Life”, is scheduled to begin today.
Accordingly, the “Mahaweli Renaissance Week” program is scheduled to be held from today until February 2nd, focusing on the Mahaweli H Zone.
This program is planned to be held in a manner that covers all 10 Mahaweli zones.
It is unique in that it includes a number of programs aimed at the spiritual and social advancement of the people, in addition to the physical development activities such as Shramadana Day, Institution Development Day, Agriculture Day, Irrigation Day and Farmers’ Appreciation Day.
Furthermore, the establishment of sports clubs and distribution of sports equipment, awarding scholarships, repairing agricultural roads and field canals, entrepreneurship capacity training programs, raising awareness about non-communicable diseases, drug prevention programs, educating officials and school students, raising awareness about poultry farming in the agricultural sector, container farming, and many other things, and launching many social welfare programs including tree planting programs, are also scheduled to be carried out under this program.
මහවැලි පුනරුද සතිය” අදින් ඇරඹෙයි
“පොහොසත් රටක් – ලස්සන ජීවිතයක්” මැයෙන් වූ වර්තමාන රජයේ ප්රතිපත්ති ප්රකාශනයේ පරිදි “ක්ලීන් ශ්රී ලංකා” (Clean Sri Lanka) ජාතික වැඩසටහනට සමගාමීව ශ්රී ලංකා මහවැලි අධිකාරිය මගින් ක්රියාත්මක කරනු ලබන “මහවැලි පුනරුද සතිය” වැඩසටහන් මාලාවේ සමාරම්භය අද දින ආරම්භ කිරීමට නියමිතව තිබෙනවා.
ඒ අනුව “මහවැලි පුනරුද සතිය” වැඩසටහන අද සිට එළැඹෙන පෙබරවාරි මස 02 වැනිදා දක්වා මහවැලි එච් කලාපය කේන්ද්ර කර ගනිමින් පැවැත්වීමට නියමිතයි.
මෙම වැඩසටහන, මහවැලි කලාප 10ම ආවරණය වන පරිදි පැවැත්වීමට සැළසුම් කර තිබෙනවා.
මෙහිදී ශ්රමදාන දිනය, ආයතන සංවර්ධන දිනය, කෘෂිකර්ම දිනය, වාරිමාර්ග දිනය සහ ගොවි උපහාර දිනය ලෙස භෞතිකව සිදුකරනු ලබන සංවර්ධන කාර්යයන්ට මෙන්ම ජනතාවගේ ආධ්යාත්මික හා සාමාජීය අභිවෘද්ධිය අරමුණු කරගත් වැඩසටහන් රාශියක් ද අන්තර්ගත කිරීම සුවිශේෂී යි.
තවද, ක්රීඩා සමාජ පිහිටුවීම හා ක්රීඩා උපකරණ බෙදාදීම, ශිෂ්යත්ව ප්රදානය කිරීම, කෘෂි මාර්ග හා කෙත් ඇල පිළිසකර කිරීම, ව්යවසායකත්ව ධාරිතා පුහුණු වැඩසටහන්, බෝ නොවන රෝග පිළිබඳව දැනුවත් කිරීම, මත්ද්රව්ය නිවාරණ වැඩසටහන, නිලධාරී හා පාසැල් සිසුන් දැනුවත් කිරීම, කෘෂිකාර්මික ක්ෂේත්රයේ කුකුළු පාලනය, බඳුන් ගත වගාවන් ඇතුළු තවත් බොහෝ දේ පිළිබඳව දැනුවත් කිරීමට ද, රුක් රෝපණ වැඩසටහන් ඇතුළු බොහෝ සමාජ සත්කාරක වැඩසටහන් දියත් කිරීම ද මෙම වැඩසටහන යටතේ සිදුකිරීමට නියමිතවව තිබෙනවා.
