Government Spokesperson Minister Nalinda Jayatissa stressed that the Cabinet has not taken a decision to cancel the agreement related to the wind power project with the Adani Group.
In a special press conference, he stated that the Cabinet has decided to review only the electricity tariffs presented in the relevant project.
He stated that this does not mean canceling the project.
In addition, he stated that there are currently a number of cases pending before the courts regarding the project and that they are also monitoring the decisions of those cases.
The government made this clarification in the face of the controversy surrounding this issue.

එය ව්යාපෘතිය අවලංගු කිරීමක් නොවන බව ඔහු සඳහන් කළේය.
ඊට අමතරව එම ව්යාපෘතිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් මේ වන විට අධිකරණය හමුවේ නඩු ගණනාවක් පවතින බවත් එම නඩුවල තීන්දු සම්බන්ධයෙන් ද අවධානයෙන් සිටින බවත් ඔහු සඳහන් කළේය.
