The Sri Lankan passport is the 4th strongest passport in South Asia, according to the Henley Passport Index.
The Sri Lankan passport is ranked 96th globally, up from 100th in 2023, the index said. The Sri Lankan passport, which was ranked 102nd in 2022, continues to show progress, the Henley Passport Index said.
Sri Lankans can travel visa-free to 44 destinations, while Afghanistan is ranked 8th regionally and 106th globally, with access to only 26 destinations.

ශ්රී ලාංකිකයන්ට ගමනාන්ත 44 කට වීසා රහිතව ගමන් කිරීමේ හැකියව ඇති බවත් කලාපීය සහ ගෝලීය ලැයිස්තුවේ පහළින් ඇෆ්ගනිස්තානය කලාපීය වශයෙන් 8 වන සහ ගෝලීය වශයෙන් 106 වන ස්ථානයට පත්ව ඇති අතර ගමනාන්ත 26 කට පමණක් ප්රවේශ විය හැකිය.
