The Welfare Benefits Board has announced that the census of low-income families who have submitted applications for the second phase of the welfare benefits will be conducted this week.
The board states that training of officers is currently underway for this purpose.
Low-income families who should be entitled to welfare benefits but have not yet received them have been given the opportunity to apply in the second phase.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment says that the Ministry of Finance has issued a circular to pay special attention to low-income families who should be entitled to welfare benefits but have not yet received them.
Deputy Minister Wasantha Piyatissa stated that special attention has been paid to this regard.

මේ අතර අස්වැසුම හිමිවිය යුතු නමුත් මෙතෙක් එය නොලැබී ඇති අඩු ආදායම් ලාභි පවුල් පිළිබඳව විශේෂ අවධානයක් යොමු කිරිම සම්බන්ධයෙන් මුදල් අමාත්යාංශය විසින් චක්රලෙඛයක් නිකුත් කර ඇති බව ග්රාමිය සංවර්ධන සමාජ ආරක්ෂණ සහ ප්රජා සවිබලගැනිවිමේ අමාත්යාංය පවසයි.
