The Department of Meteorology states that the prevailing rain conditions can be expected to continue in the Northern, North-Central, Eastern, Uva and Central provinces.
Issuing a statement, the department said that showers or thundershowers may occur at times in the Northern, Eastern, North-Central, Uva, Central and Southern provinces.
Also, some places in the Eastern and Uva provinces and Hambantota district. Very heavy rains of more than 150 mm may occur, while some places in the Northern province and Matale, Nuwara Eliya, Polonnaruwa, Galle and Matara districts. It also states that heavy rains of more than 100 mm may occur.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at places in other areas.
The statement also states that moderate to strong winds of about (30-40) kmph are possible at times in the eastern slopes of the central hills and in the Northern, North-Central, Eastern and Northwestern provinces and in the Hambantota and Monaragala districts.

එමෙන්ම නැගෙනහිර සහ ඌව පළාත්වලත් හම්බන්තොට දිස්ත්රික්කයේත් ඇතැම් ස්ථාන වලට මි.මි. 150 ට වැඩි ඉතා තද වැසි ඇතිවිය හැකි අතර උතුරු පළාතේත් මාතලේ, නුවරඑළිය, පොලොන්නරුව, ගාල්ල සහ මාතර දිස්ත්රික්කවලත් ඇතැම් ස්ථාන වලට මි.මි. 100 ට වැඩි තද වැසි ඇති විය හැකි බවත් එහි සඳහන් වේ.
සෙසු ප්රදේශවල තැනින් තැන වැසි හෝ ගිගුරුම් සහිත වැසි ඇතිවේ.
එමෙන්ම මධ්යම කඳුකරයේ නැගෙනහිර බෑවුම්වල සහ උතුරු, උතුරු-මැද, නැගෙනහිර සහ වයඹ පළාත්වලත් හම්බන්තොට සහ මොනරාගල දිස්ත්රික්කවලත් විටින් විට හමන පැ.කි.මී. (30-40) ක පමණ තරමක තද සුළං ඇතිවිය හැකි බවත් එම නිවේදනයේ සඳහන් ව තිබේ.
