Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka says that he is ready to accept the post of Minister of Public Security in the current government if given it.
In a conversation with an online channel, he has stated that if such a responsibility is entrusted to him, he has no reluctance to accept it.
However, he has also stated that since he did not contribute to the election of the Compass government led by President Anura Kumara to power, he has no right to demand such a responsibility.
