A person was killed by a stone in the Randeniya Ranawarnawa area of Wellawaya Police Division early this morning (14).
A stone was thrown at him from the head and he died on the spot after the attack.
The deceased is a fifty-five-year-old resident of the Randeniya area and the suspect who carried out the attack has been arrested by the police.
The suspect arrested by the police is a twenty-six-year-old resident of the same area and preliminary investigations have revealed that he committed the murder to avenge the murder of his father.
The victim is the uncle of the suspect who committed the murder.
The person who was killed today is a person who was accused of killing the father of the suspect who committed the murder today a few years ago.
The suspect arrested by the police in connection with the murder is scheduled to be produced before the Wellawaya Magistrate’s Court and officers from the Wellawaya Police Station are conducting further investigations into the incident.

මෙසේ මියගොස් ඇත්තේ රන්දෙණිය ප්රදේශයේ ම පදිංචි වයස අවුරුදු පනස් පහක පුද්ගලයකු වන අතර පහරදීම සිදු කල සැකකරු පොලිසිය විසින් අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන තිබේ.
පොලිස් අත්අඩංගුවට ගත් සැකකරු එම ප්රදේශයේ ම පදිංචි වයස අවුරුදු විසිහයක පුද්ගලයකු වන අතර තම පියා ඝාතනය කල පලිය ගැනීමට තමන් මෙම ඝාතනය සිදු කර ඇති බවට මූලික විමර්ශන වලින් අනාවරණය වී ඇත.
ඝාතනයට ලක් වී ඇත්තේ ඝාතනය සිදුකල සැකකරුගේ බාප්පා වේ.
අද දින මෙලෙස ඝාතනයට ලක් වූ පුද්ගලයා මීට වසර කිහිපයකට පෙර අද දින ඝාතනය සිදුකල සැකකරුගේ පියා ඝාතනය කල බවට චෝදනා එල්ල වූ පුද්ගලයෙකි.
ඝාතනය සම්බන්ධයෙන් පොලිස් අත්අඩංගුවට ගත් සැකකරු වැල්ලවාය මහේස්ත්රාත් අධිකරණයට ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමට නියමිත අතර සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් වැල්ලවාය පොලිස් ස්ථානයේ නිලධාරීන් විසින් ඉදිරි විමර්ශන සිදු කරයි.
