බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේ ප්රථම ලංකා ගමනය ඇතුළු ශාසන ඉතිහාසයේ වැදගත් සිදුවීම් රැසක් සිදුවූ දුරුතු පුර පසළොස්වක පොහොය දිනය අදයි.
2025 වසරේ යෙදෙන පළමු පොහොය දිනය ද අදට යෙදී තිබෙයි.
මහියංගනයට වැඩම කළ බුදුන්වහන්සේ යක්ෂයන් දමනය කිරීම අද වැනි දිනක සිදුවූ බව ශාසන ඉතිහාසයේ සඳහන් වෙයි.
බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගෙන් ධර්මය අසා සෝවාන් ඵලයට පත් සුමන සමන් දෙවියන්ට කේශ ධාතු මිටක් ලබාදීම ද දුරුතු පෝදා සිදු වූ බව ශාසන ඉතිහාසයේ සඳහන්ය.
තුන්බෑ ජටිලයන් දමනය කිරීමත්, බිම්බිසාර රජතුමා වේළුවනාරාමය බුදු සසුනට පූජා කිරීමත් සිදුවී ඇත්තේ ද අද වැනි දුරුතු පොහෝ දිනයකය.
