Nallathanni Forest Wildlife Officer Rathanayak said that a body of a leopard has been recovered with its head and legs cut off in the Dikoya Botaise Plantation Botaise Division in Hatton Police Division.

The people of the plantation found the body of the recovered leopard in the forest area of ​​the Botaise section and reported it to the officer in charge of the Hatton police station.

All Nallathanni Forest Department officials rushed to the scene and recovered the body of the leopard, whose head and legs were cut off, and was taken to the Peradana Animal Hospital for examination.

The forest protection officer Ratnayake said that the leopard, which is about five years old, was caught in a net and recovered in this way.
