The Government Information Department announces that the news circulating about a government aid program called ‘Presidential Grant’ is false.
The Department says that fake news about such a program is currently circulating on social media.
Also, if a decision has been made regarding such a government aid program, it is the government’s procedure to inform the public and the media during the press conference to announce the decisions of the Cabinet and the government requests the public to refrain from accepting or sharing such false news.

‘ජනපති ප්රදානය’ නමින් රජයේ ආධාර වැඩසටහනක් පිළිබඳව සංසරණය වන පුවත අසත්යක් බව රජයේ ප්රවෘත්ති දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව නිවේදනය කරනවා.
එවැනි වැඩසටහනක් පිළිබඳව සමාජ මාධ්ය ඔස්සේ ව්යාජ පුවත් මේ වනවිට සංසරණය වන බවයි එම දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව පවසන්නේ.
එමෙන්ම එවැනි රජයේ ආධාර වැඩසටහනක් පිළිබඳව තීරණයක් ගෙන ඇත්නම් අමාත්ය මණ්ඩල තීරණ දැනුම් දීමේ ප්රවෘත්ති සාකච්ඡාවේදී මහජනතාව හා ජනමාධ්ය වෙත දැනුම් දීම රජයේ ක්රමවේදය වන අතර එවැනි අසත්ය ප්රවෘත්ති පිළිගැනීමෙන් හෝ හුවමාරු කිරීමෙන් වළකින ලෙස රජය මහජනතාවගෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටිනවා.
