A high-level delegation from the United States government, led by Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu, who is on a visit to Sri Lanka, met with Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath.
The delegation also includes officials from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the US Department of the Treasury.
The delegation explored opportunities for cooperation in economic recovery and governance reforms.
The delegation congratulated the new government and reiterated their commitment to supporting Sri Lanka through targeted programs, capacity building initiatives, and technical assistance aimed at building long-term stability.
