A special religious program was held on the premises of the historic Sri Vishnu Maha Devalaya in Kandy on Sunday afternoon, 8th of last month, with the participation of devotees,
under the patronage of His Excellency Basnayake Nilame Mahindra Ratwatte
The devotees joined in the Asuhara Dashe Aloka Pooja held on the premises of the temple. At 7.30 last night, the Maha Sangha Ratnaya was brought to the Sri Vishnu Maha Devalaya and a Seth Pirith Sajjayana was also held.
Today, Monday, 9th, the Maha Sangha Ratnaya has been brought to the temple and an alms offering has been organized in the afternoon.
This series of auspicious events is being held under the guidance and supervision of Mr. Mahindra Ratwatte, Basnayake Nilame of Sri Thedi Munda Devalaya of Sri Vishnu Maha Devalaya in Kandy. Many conservation works have been carried out at the temple and this temple makes a large contribution annually to make the Esala Perahera of the Sri Dalada Maligawa a success.

දේවාල පරිශ්රයේ පැවැති අසූහාර දහසේ ආලෝක පූජාව සදහා බැතිමතුන් එක් වූ අතර ඊයේ රාත්රි 7.30.ට ශ්රී විෂ්ණු මහා දේවාලයට මහා සංඝ රත්නය වැඩම කරවා සෙත් පිරිත් සජ්ජායනාවක්ද පැවැත්වූහ .
අද දින එනම් 09 සඳුදා දින මහා සංඝරත්නය වැඩම කරවා දහවල් දානමය පිංකමක් සංවිධානය කර තිබේ.
මහනුවර ශ්රී විෂ්ණු මහා දේවාලයේ ශ්රී දැඩි මුණ්ඩ දේවාලයේ බස්නායක නිළමේ මහීන්ද්ර රත්වත්තේ මහතාගේ උපදෙස් හා අධීක්ෂණය යටතේ මෙම පිංකම් මාලාව සිදු කෙරෙන අතර දේවාලයේ සංරක්ෂණ කටයුතු රැසක් සිදු කෙරුණු අතර ශ්රී දළදා මාළිගාවේ ඇසල පෙරහර මංගල්යය සාර්ථක කර ගැනීම සදහා මෙම දේවාලය මගින් වාර්ෂිකව විශාල දායකත්වයක් සපයනු ලැබේ.
