Based on several demands, the Joint Federation of Paramedic Professionals has temporarily suspended the island-wide symbolic strike that was planned to be implemented tomorrow (22).
The Joint Federation of Paramedic Professionals said this in a statement.
This decision was taken following a discussion with the Acting Secretary of the Ministry of Health.
Accordingly, the Federation says that services will continue as usual tomorrow.
The strike had been initiated by stating that the Ministry of Health had not given them an opportunity to discuss their issues for the past two months.

ඉල්ලීම් කිහිපයක් මුල්කරගමින් පරිපූරක වෛද්ය වෘත්තියවේදීන්ගේ ඒකාබද්ධ බලමණ්ඩලය හෙට (22) දිනයේ ක්රියාත්මක කිරීමට කටයුතු යොදා තිබූ දීප ව්යාප්ත සංකේත වැඩවර්ජනය තාවකාලිකව අත්හිටුවා තිබෙනවා.
නිවේදනයක් නිකුත් කරමින් පරිපූරක වෛද්ය වෘත්තියවේදීන්ගේ ඒකාබද්ධ බලමණ්ඩලය මේ බව පැවසුවා.
ස්යෙඛ්ය අමාත්යාංශයේ වැඩබලන සෞඛ්ය ලේකම්වරිය සමග පැවති සාකච්ඡාවෙන් අනතුරුව මෙම තීරණය ගෙන තිබෙනවා.
ඒ අනුව හෙට දවසේ සාමාන්ය පරිදි සේවා කටයුතු සිදුවන බව එම බලමණ්ඩලය පවසනවා.
තම ගැටලු සම්බන්ධයෙන් පසුගිය මාස දෙකක පමණ සිට සාකච්ඡාවක් අපේක්ෂාවෙන් සිටියද, සෞඛ්ය අමාත්යාංශය ඊට අවස්ථාවක් ලබා නොදුන් බව පවසමින් මෙම වර්ජනය ආරම්භ කර තිබුණා.
