The Polonnaruwa Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau has arrested 12 suspects for aiding and abetting the sale of ammonia fertilizer as urea fertilizer at a higher price.
The arrests were made during a raid conducted by a team of officers from the Polonnaruwa Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau on the 13th at an establishment selling agricultural fertilizers and agricultural materials in Siripura town.
A manager and 12 employees of the establishment were arrested for aiding and abetting the sale of ammonia fertilizer as urea fertilizer at a higher price to farmers.
The suspects are residents of Siripura, Bulathkohupitiya and Batticaloa areas, aged between 23 and 53.
At the time of the arrest of the above suspects, 1,565 bales of fertilizer that had been brought for transfer, 05 lorries that had been prepared for fertilizer transportation and 13,585 empty fertilizer bags from various institutions were found at the scene.
The arrested suspects were produced before the Dehiattakandiya Magistrate’s Court yesterday (14) and were remanded until the 28th.
The Polonnaruwa Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau is conducting further investigations.
ඇමෝනියා පොහොර යූරියා පොහොර ලෙසට වංචා කර වැඩිමිලට අලෙවි කිරීමට ආධාර අනුබල දිම සම්බන්ධයෙන් සැකකරුවන් 12 දෙනෙකුව පොළොන්නරුව කොට්ඨාස අපරාධ විමර්ශන කාර්යංශය විසින් අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන තිබෙනවා.
පොළොන්නරුව කොට්ඨාස අපරාධ විමර්ශන කාර්යංශයේ නිලධාරින් කණ්ඩායමක් විසින් සිරිපුර නගරයේ කෘෂි පොහොර සහ කෘෂි ද්රව්ය අලෙවි කරන ආයතනයක පසුගිය 13 වනදා සිදුකළ වැටලීමකදී මෙම අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන සිදුකර තිබෙනවා.
එහිදී ඇමෝනියා පොහොර කූඨ ලෙස යූරියා පොහොර ලෙස ඇසුරුම් කර වැඩි මිලට ගොවියන් වෙත අලෙවි කර වංචා කිරීමට ආධාර අනුබලදීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් එම ආයතනයේ කළමණාකරුවෙකු ඇතුළු සේවකයින් 12 දෙනෙකු අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන තිබෙනවා
සැකකරුවන් අවුරුදු 23 ත් 53 අතර වයස්වල පසුවන සිරිපුර, බුලත්කොහුපිටිය හා මඩකලපුව ප්රදේශවල පදිංචිකරුවන් වනවා.
ඉහත සැකකරුවන් අත්අඩංගුවට ගන්නා අවස්ථාවේ මාරු කිරීමට ගෙනවිත් තිබූ පොහොර මිටි 1,565 ක් පොහොර ප්රවාහනයට සූදානම් කර තිබූ ලොරි රථ 05 ක් හා විවිධ ආයතන වල පොහොර හිස් කවර 13,585 ක් එම ස්ථානයේ තිබී සොයා ගෙන තිබෙනවා.
අත්අඩංගුවට ගත් සැකකරුවන් ඊයේ (14) දෙහිඅත්තකණ්ඩිය මහෙස්ත්රාත් අධිකරණය වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමෙන් පසු එළැඹෙන 28 වනදා දක්වා රක්ෂිත බන්ධනාගාර ගතකර තිබෙනවා.
පොළොන්නරුව කොට්ඨාස අපරාධ විමර්ශන කාර්යංශය වැඩිදුර විමර්ශන සිදු කරනු ලබනවා.
