A special circular has been issued reducing the fuel quota allocated to the Secretary General of Parliament and other heads.
Accordingly, the Secretary General of Parliament will henceforth be entitled to 220 liters of fuel per month. This is the amount of fuel that a ministry secretary is entitled to.
Until now, the Secretary General was provided with unlimited fuel.
In addition, the amount of fuel that the Deputy Secretary General is entitled to has also been reduced to 165 liters of fuel per month. The circular states that the amount of fuel that the Assistant Secretary General and Heads of Departments are entitled to has been reduced to 135 liters of fuel per month and the amount of fuel that the Coordinating Secretary to the Secretary General is entitled to has been reduced to 115 liters of fuel per month.
According to this circular issued on the 7th, the fuel restrictions will be implemented from the 2nd.
After information was revealed that the heads of parliament had used fuel excessively in the past, it was decided at a recent meeting of the Parliamentary Staff Advisory Council to reduce the monthly fuel allowance provided to them.

මේ දක්වා මහලේකම්වරියට සීමාවකින් තොරව ඉන්ධන සැපයීම කෙරිණ.
මෙයට අමතරව නියෝජ්ය මහ ලේකම්වරයාට හිමිවන ඉන්ධන ප්රමාණයද මාසයකට ඉන්ධන ලීටර් 165ක් දක්වා අඩු කර ඇත. සහකාර මහලේකම් සහ දෙපාර්තමේන්තු ප්රධානීන්ට හිමිවන ඉන්ධන ප්රමාණය මාසයකට ඉන්ධන ලීටර් 135ක් වශයෙන්ද මහලේකම්වරියගේ සම්බන්ධීකරණ ලේකම්වරියට හිමි වන ඉන්ධන ප්රමාණය මාසයකට ඉන්ධන ලීටර් 115ක් වශයෙන්ද අඩුකර ඇති බව එම චක්රලේඛයේ දැක්වේ.
පසුගිය 7 දාතමින් යුතුව නිකුත් කර ඇති මෙම චක්රලේඛය අනුව එම ඉන්ධන සීමා පසුගිය 2 වැනිදා සිට ක්රියාත්මක වන්නේය.
පසුගිය කාලයේදී පාර්ලිමේන්තු ප්රධානීන් අසීමිතව ඉන්ධන පාවිච්චි කර ඇති බවට තොරතුරු අනාවරණය වීමෙන් පසුව ඔවුන්ට මාසිකව සැපයෙන ඉන්ධන ප්රමාණ අඩු කිරීමට පාර්ලිමේන්තු කාර්ය මණ්ඩල උපදේශක සභා රැස්වීමේදී පසුගියදා තීරණය කෙරිණ.
