The Public Health Inspectors’ Association says that over 8,742 Dansals have been registered across the island in conjunction with Vesak.
The Association’s Chairman Upul Rohana stated that the largest number of Dansals have been registered in the Colombo Metropolitan Council in the Western Province.
He requested the Dansal organizers to take steps to minimize the use of polythene and plastic when providing Dansals.
He also stated that steps will be taken to deploy Public Health Inspectors to inspect Dansals.
වෙසක් දිනයට සමගාමීව දිවයින පුරා දන්සැල් 8,742 කට අධික සංඛ්යාවක් මේ වනවිට ලියාපදිංචි කර ඇති බව මහජන සෞඛ්ය පරීක්ෂකවරුන්ගේ සංගමය පවසනවා.
වැඩිම දන්සල් සංඛ්යාවක් ලියාපදිංචි වී ඇත්තේ බස්නාහිර පළාතේ කොළඹ මහනගර සභාව ආශ්රිතව බවයි එම සංගමයේ සභාපති උපුල් රෝහණ සඳහන් කළේ.
දන්සැල් ලබාදීමේ දී පොලිතින් හා ප්ලාස්ටික් භාවිතය අවම කිරීමට කටයුතු කරන ලෙස ඔහු දන්සැල් සංවිධායකයින්ගෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටියා.
එමෙන්ම දන්සල් පරික්ෂා කිරීමේ කටයුතු සඳහා මහජන සෞඛ්ය පරීක්ෂකවරුන් යෙදවීමට කටයුතු කරන බවද ඔහු ප්රකාශ කළා.
