Russia says Ukraine has launched a second night of drone strikes targeting Moscow.
The capital’s four main airports were closed for several hours to ensure security but later reopened, Russia’s aviation watchdog Rosaviatsia said.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on social media that at least 19 Ukrainian drones had been destroyed before they reached the city “from different directions.”
Some debris had fallen on a main highway leading into the city, but there were no casualties, he said.
Ukraine has yet to comment. But the mayor of Kharkiv said Russia had carried out drone strikes overnight in the city and the Kiev region.
As well as Moscow, the governors of other Russian cities including Penza and Voronezh said their cities had been targeted by drones as of Tuesday.
Unconfirmed reports from the Russian military suggested that windows had been smashed in an apartment building south of Moscow.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said it had destroyed 26 Ukrainian drones overnight.
Ukraine has launched several drone strikes on Moscow since Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

මොස්කව් නගරාධිපති සර්ජි සොබියානින් සමාජ මාධ්ය ඔස්සේ පැවසුවේ, අවම වශයෙන් යුක්රේන ඩ්රෝන යානා 19 ක් ‘විවිධ දිශාවලින්’ නගරයට ළඟාවීමට පෙර විනාශ කර ඇති බවයි.
සුන්බුන් කිහිපයක් නගරයට ඇතුළු වන ප්රධාන අධිවේගී මාර්ගයකට පතිත වී ඇති නමුත් කිසිදු ජීවිත හානියක් සිදුවී නොමැති බව ඔහු පැවැසීය.
යුක්රේනය මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් තවමත් අදහස් දක්වා නොමැත. එහෙත් කාර්කිව් නගරාධිපතිවරයා පැවසුවේ රුසියාව එක රැයකින් නගරයට මෙන්ම කියෙව් ප්රදේශයටද ඩ්රෝන ප්රහාර එල්ල කර ඇති බවයි.
මොස්කව්හි මෙන්ම, පෙන්සා සහ වොරොනෙෂ් ඇතුළු අනෙකුත් රුසියානු නගරවල ආණ්ඩුකාරවරුන් ද අඟහරුවාදා වන විට ඩ්රෝන යානා මගින් ඔවුන්ගේ නගර ඉලක්ක කර ඇති බව පැවැසීය.
රුසියානු හමුදාවේ තහවුරු නොකළ වාර්තාවලින් පෙනී ගියේ මොස්කව්හි දකුණේ මහල් නිවාසයක ජනේල විනාශ වී ඇති බවයි.
රුසියාවේ ආරක්ෂක අමාත්යාංශය පැවසුවේ ඔවුන් යුක්රේන ඩ්රෝන යානා 26 ක් එක රැයකින් විනාශ කළ බවයි.
රුසියාව යුක්රේනය පූර්ණ පරිමාණයෙන් ආක්රමණය කිරීමෙන් පසු, යුක්රේනය විසින් මොස්කව් වෙත ඩ්රෝන ප්රහාර කිහිපයක් දියත් කර ඇත.
