The government has decided to hold the state Vesak festival this year centered around the Nuwara Eliya district.
Accordingly, it is stated that the Vesak Week is scheduled to be held from May 10 to 16 at the Nuwara Eliya International Buddhist Center Temple.
This year’s state Vesak festival is being held under the theme “Let’s associate with noble people with good qualities.”
වෙසක් සතිය මැයි 10 සිට 16 දක්වා පැවැත්වෙයි
මෙවර රාජ්ය වෙසක් උත්සවය නුවරඑළිය දිස්ත්රික්කය කේන්ද්ර කර ගනිමින් පැවැත්වීමට රජය තීරණය කර තිබෙනවා.
ඒ අනුව නුවරඑළිය ජාත්යන්තර බෞද්ධ මධ්යස්ථාන විහාරස්ථානයේදී මැයි 10 සිට 16 දක්වා වෙසක් සතිය පැවැත්වීමට නියමිත බවයි සඳහන් වෙන්නේ.
මෙම වසරේ රාජ්ය වෙසක් මහෝත්සවය “කළණ ගුණ ඇති උතුම් මිනිසුන් ඇසුරු කරමු” යන තේමාව යටතේ පැවැත්වෙනවා.
