Today is the second day of marking postal votes related to this year’s local government elections.
Accordingly, the Election Commission says that the opportunity to mark postal votes has been given today (25) as well as on April 28 and 29.
Postal vote applicants from all institutions including state institutions, police, tri-forces, schools, corporations, statutory boards have been given the opportunity to mark postal votes.
The Election Commission also stated that 648,495 applicants are eligible to vote by mail in relation to this year’s local government elections.
However, the Election Commissioner General Saman Sri Ratnayake said that the time given to mark postal votes will not be extended again.
A special postal vote marking media center has been established at the Kandy High School for Girls to mark postal votes for police officers engaged in the duties of the Siri Dalada Vandanawe.
තැපැල් ඡන්දය සලකුණු කිරීමේ දෙවන දිනය අද
මෙවර පළාත් පාලන ආයතන ඡන්ද විමසීමට අදාළ තැපැල් ඡන්දය සලකුණු කිරීම දෙවන දිනය අදයි.
ඒ අනුව අද (25) දිනයේ මෙන්ම අප්රේල් 28 සහ 29 යන දෙදින ද තැපැල් ඡන්දය සලකුණු කිරීම සඳහා අවස්ථාව ලබාදී ඇති බව මැතිවරණ කොමිසම පවසනවා.
රාජ්ය ආයතන, පොලීසිය, ත්රිවිධ හමුදාව, පාසල්, සංස්ථා, ව්යවස්ථාපිත මණ්ඩල ඇතුළු සියලුම ආයතනවල තැපැල් ඡන්ද අයදුම්කරුවන්ට තැපැල් ඡන්ද සලකුණු කිරීමේ අවස්ථාව හිමිවී තිබෙනවා.
මෙවර පළාත් පාලන ආයතන ඡන්ද විමසීමට අදාළව තැපැලෙන් ඡන්දය ප්රකාශ කිරීම සඳහා අයදුම්කරුන් 648,495 දෙනෙකු සුදුසුකම් ලබා සිටින බවද මැතිවරණ කොමිෂන් සභාව සඳහන් කළා.
කෙසේවෙතත් තැපැල් ඡන්දය සලකුණු කිරීමට ලබාදී ඇති කාලය යළි දීර්ඝ නොකරන බව මැතිවරණ කොමසාරිස් ජනරාල් සමන් ශ්රී රත්නායක මහතා පැවසුවා.
සිරි දළදා වන්දානවේ රාජකාරී කටයුතුවල නිරත පොලිස් නිලධාරීන්ට තැපැල් ඡන්දය සලකුණු කිරීම සඳහා මහනුවර උසස් බාලිකා විද්යාලයේ විශේෂ තැපැල් ඡන්දය සලකුණු කිරීමේ මාධ්යස්ථානයක් ස්ථාපිත කර තිබෙනවා.
