The government has decided to reduce the official vehicles and monthly fuel quota provided to former presidents.
Accordingly, it is stated that the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, has issued a circular in this regard.
According to the relevant circular, the number of vehicles provided to former presidents by the Presidential Secretariat has been limited to two, and it is stated that the former presidents have been informed to hand over all additional vehicles to the Presidential Secretariat.

හිටපු ජනාධිපතිවරුන්ට ලබාදී ඇති නිල වාහන සහ මාසික ඉන්ධන කෝටාව අඩු කිරීමට රජය තීරණය කර තිබෙනවා.
ඒ අනුව ජනාධිපති ලේකම් ආචාර්ය නන්දික සනත් කුමානායක විසින් ඊට අදාළව චක්රලේඛයක් නිකුත් කර ඇති බවයි සඳහන් වෙන්නේ.
අදාළ චක්රලේඛය අනුව හිටපු ජනාධිපතිවරුන්ට ජනාධිපති ලේකම් කාර්යාලයෙන් ලබාදෙන වාහන ගණන දෙකකට සීමා කර ඇති අතර, අමතර සියලු වාහන යළි ජනාධිපති ලේකම් කාර්යාලයට භාරදෙන ලෙස හිටපු ජනාධිපතිවරුන්ට දැනුම් දී ඇති බවයි සඳහන් වෙන්නේ.
