A train running from Colombo Fort to Mirigama derailed near the Gampaha Railway Station yesterday afternoon and it is reported that the main line, which was disrupted due to the derailment, has now been restored to normal.
However, the Railway Department stated that the train delay caused by the derailment continues.
As a result, there was no problem on the railway line coming from Polgahawela to Colombo, while the line from Colombo to Polgahawela was disrupted.

ඒ කෙසේ වෙතත් දුම්රිය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව සදහන් කළේ පීලි පැනීමත් සමග ඇති වූ දුම්රිය ප්රමාදය තවදුරටත් පවතින බවයි.
මේ හේතුවෙන් පොල්ගහවෙල දෙස සිට කොළඹ පැමිණෙන දුම්රිය මාර්ගයේ ගැටලුවක් නොතිබුණු අතර කොළඹ සිට පොල්ගහවෙල දක්වා වන මාර්ගයේ ධාවන කටයුතු අඩාල වුණා.
