The Sri Lanka Army Headquarters announces that there has been a trend of using Army uniforms in various popular social media applications (YouTube, Tik tok and Facebook) for images, songs and short videos without permission, which is detrimental to the image of the Army.
Accordingly, the statement states that although the use of Army uniforms for creative purposes without permission is an illegal act, it seems that many people are carrying out such activities out of ignorance.
The Army Headquarters informs the public that the use of uniforms worn by Army personnel who sacrificed their lives and limbs for the motherland and who are still protecting this country with great respect and pride for such activities harms the image of the entire Army and belittles the war heroes who sacrificed their lives for the motherland for almost three decades.

වර්තමානයේ දී සමාජ මාධ්ය තුළ ප්රචලිත විවිධ යෙදවුම් තුලින් (YouTube, Tik tok හා Facebook) සිදුකරනු ලබන රූප රචනා, ගීත හා කෙටි වීඩියෝ සඳහා යුද්ධ හමුදා නිල ඇඳුම් අනුමැතියකින් තොරව යුද්ධ හමුදා ප්රතිරූපයට හානිකර අන්දමින් භාවිත කිරීමේ ප්රවනතාවයක් මතුව ඇති බවට ශ්රී ලංකා යුද්ධ හමුදා මූලස්ථානය නිවේදනය කරනවා.
ඒ, අනුව මෙලෙස යුද්ධ හමුදා නිල ඇදුම් අවසරයකින් තොරව නිර්මාණ කටයුතු සඳහා භාවිත කිරීම නීති විරෝධි ක්රියාවක් වුවද බොහෝ දෙනා තම නොදැනුවත්කම මත මෙවැනි ක්රියාකාරකම් සිදුකරන බවද පෙනෙන්නට ඇති බවයි එම නිවේදනයේ දැක්වෙන්නේ.
එලෙස නොදැනුවත්කමින් සිදුකර ක්රියාවන් හේතුවෙන් මව්බිම වෙනුවෙන් තම ජිවිත, අවයව පූජාකල යුද්ධ හමුදා සාමාජිකයින් පැලදි හා අදටත් මෙම දේශය ආරක්ෂා කරන යුද්ධ හමුදා සාමාජිකයින් විසින් ඉතා ගෞරවයෙන් හා අභිමානයෙන් පලදින නිල ඇදුමක් මෙවැනිවූ ක්රියාකාරකම් සඳහා භාවිත කිරීම මගින් සමස්ත යුද්ධ හමුදා ප්රතිරූපයටම හානියක් සිදුවන අතර, දශක තුනකට ආසන්න කාලයක් පුරා මව්බිම වෙනුවෙන් තම ජීවිතය කැපකල රණවිරුවන්ද හෑල්ලුවට ලක් වන බවයි යුද්ධ හමුදා මූලස්ථානය ජනතාවට දැනුම් දෙයි
