The police are requesting the public to refrain from visiting the Sri Dalada Viharaya in the next two days due to the continued increase in the number of devotees visiting the Sri Dalada Viharaya.
The Sri Dalada Viharaya began on 18.04.2025.
The Police Headquarters informs that more than three hundred thousand devotees have already gathered in queues in Kandy city for the Sri Dalada Viharaya.
Therefore, since a sufficient number of devotees have already arrived for the Sri Dalada Viharaya on the two days of tomorrow (24) and the day after tomorrow (25), the police say that if more devotees arrive in the next two days, they will not be able to perform the pilgrimage.
Therefore, the Sri Lanka Police kindly requests the devotees to refrain from attending the Sri Dalada Pandana for the next two days.
Meanwhile, the Sri Dalada Pandana concluded on the 6th day at 5:30 pm today (23).
Accordingly, it is said that 82,500 devotees joined the Sri Dalada Pandana today.
සිරි දළදා වන්දනාවට ඉදිරි දෙදින නොපැමිණෙන්නැයි ඉල්ලයි
සිරි දළදා වන්දනාව වෙනුවෙන් සැදැහැවතුන්ගේ පැමිණීම තවදුරටත් ඉහළයෑම හේතුවෙන් ඉදිරි දෙදින තුළ වන්දනාමාන කටයුතු සිදු කිරීම සඳහා පැමිණීමෙන් වළකින ලෙස පොලීසිය මහජනතාවගෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටී.
සිරි දළදා වන්දනාව 2025.04.18 වන දින ආරම්භ කෙරුණි.
පොලිස් මුලස්ථානය දැනුම්දෙන්නේ ඒ අනුව මේ වනවිටත් බැතිමතුන් ලක්ෂ තුනකට අධික සංඛ්යාවක් සිරි දළදා වන්දනාව සඳහා මහනුවර නගරයේ පෝලිම්වලට ඒකරාශී වී සිටින බවය.
එබැවින් හෙට (24) දින සහ අනිද්දා (25) යන දෙදින තුළ සිරි දළදා වන්දනාව සඳහා ප්රමාණවත් සැදැහැවතුන් පිරිසක් දැනටමත් පැමිණ සිටින බැවින් ඉදිරි දෙදින තුළ තවත් සැදැහැවතුන් පැමිණයහොත් ඔවුන්ට වන්දනාමාන කටයුතු සිදු කරගැනීම සඳහා අවස්ථාව නොලැබෙනු ඇති බව පොලීසිය පවසයි.
ඒ නිසා ඉදිරි දෙදින තුළ සිරි දළදා වන්දනාව සඳහා පැමිණීමෙන් වළකින ලෙසට ශ්රී ලංකා පොලීසිය සැදැහැවතුන්ගෙන් කාරුණික ඉල්ලීමක් කරයි.
මේ අතර අද (23) පස්වරු 5:30ට සිරි දළදා වන්දනාව 6වන දිනට අවසන් කෙරුණි.
ඒ අනුව අද දිනයේදී සැදැහැවතුන් 82,500 දෙනෙකු සිරි දළදා වන්දනාවට එක්වූ බව සඳහන් ය.
