The Police Headquarters also states that the information contained herein is based on contradictory words that have no legal basis and that the logos have been printed and prepared in a manner similar to the Sri Lankan State Emblem, the Supreme Court Emblem, and the Sri Lanka Police Emblem. The Sri Lanka Police informs the public that the institution referred to in this letter, “Cyber Crime Headquarters Colombo, Sri Lanka”, is not an institution in Sri Lanka and that the positions or facts stated herein are not published by the Sri Lanka Police, are false and distorted facts. It is observed that this letter was deliberately prepared with the aim of embarrassing the Sri Lanka Police and misleading the public. Accordingly, the Police say that the Criminal Investigation Department has initiated investigations to take necessary legal action against those involved in spreading false information.

සමාන ලෙස ලාංඡන මුද්රණය කර සකස් කර ඇති බවට ද නිරීක්ෂණය වන බවද පොලිස් මුලස්ථානය
පවසනවා.

මෙය හිතාමතාම ඉතා සැලසුම් සහගත ලෙස ශ්රී ලංකා පොලිසිය අපහසුතාවයට පත් කිරීම හා
මහජනතාව නොමග යැවීම අරමුණු කරගෙන සකස් කරන ලද ලිපියක් බවට නිරීක්ෂණය වනවා.
ඒ අනුව, මෙලෙස අසත්ය කරුණු ප්රචාරය කිරීමට සම්බන්ධ තැනැත්තන්ට එරෙහිව අවශ්ය නීතිමය
