President Anura Kumara Dissanayake says that a team including the Deputy Minister of Finance has already been sent to America to discuss the new tariffs imposed by American President Donald Trump and prevent the imposition of those taxes.
“As soon as Trump imposed a tax on the United States, some people cheered. It was postponed for three months, and their ears fell off. That is, they are praying that something will happen and harm will be done.
Remember, obstacles will come. We cannot handle the world as we want. We are a small country. We are trying, what? We are trying to resolve it in the least possible way. A team including our Deputy Minister of Finance has already gone to the United States to discuss it.
