President Anura Kumara Dissanayake says that the purpose of the previous investigations was to hide the real perpetrators and real planners of the Easter attacks and that he will not allow that to happen.
The President made this statement while addressing a public rally in Polonnaruwa today (20).
The President emphasized that there will be no more communal conflicts in the country from now on.
He pointed out that if the existing laws are not sufficient to establish national unity, then action will be taken through new laws.
Recalling the 2019 Easter tragedy, the President stated that it was the biggest tragedy committed to gain power at that time.
The President also stated that the purpose of the investigations conducted regarding the Easter attacks from April 2019 to September 2024 was to hide the real perpetrators and real planners.
Accordingly, the President further stated that the current government is taking steps to bring those responsible for the Easter attacks to justice step by step and that such steps will continue.
Meanwhile, the President stated that he had submitted all the reports of the Presidential Commission report on the Easter attacks to the Criminal Investigation Department today.

මින් ඉදිරියට රට තුළ ජාතිවාදී ගැටුම් ඇති නොවන බවත් ජනපතිවරයා එහිදී අවධාරණය කර සිටියා.
ඒ, ජාතික සමඟිය ඇති කිරීමට පවතින නීති ප්රමාණවත් නොවන්නේ නම් නව නීති තුළින් හෝ කටයුතු කරන බව පෙන්වා දෙමින්.
එහිදී 2019 පාස්කු ඛේදවාචකය පිළිබඳව සිහිපත් කරමින් ජනපතිවරයා සඳහන් කළේ, එය එවකට බලය ලබාගැනීම උදෙසා කළ විශාලම ඛේදවාචකය වන බවයි.
එමෙන්ම 2019 අප්රේල් සිට 2024 සැප්තැම්බර් දක්වා පාස්කු ප්රහාරය සම්බන්ධව කළ පරීක්ෂණවල අරමුණ වූයේ, සැබෑ වගඋත්තරකරුවන් සැබෑ සැලසුම්කරුවන් සැඟවීම බවත් ජනපතිවරයා පවසා සිටියා.
ඒ අනුව වත්මන් රජය පියවරෙන් පියවර නිරවුල්ව පාස්කු ප්රහාරයට වගකිවයුත්තන් නීතිය හමුවට පැමිණවීමට කටයුතු සිදුකරන බවත්, ඉදිරියටත් එම කටයුතු සිදුකෙරෙන බවයි ජනාධිපතිවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කළේ.
මේ අතර, පාස්කු ප්රහාරය සම්බන්ධව ජනාධිපති කොමිෂන් වාර්තාවේ සියලු වාර්තා තමන් විසින් අද අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවට ඉදිරිපත් කළ බවත් ජනපතිවරයා මෙහිදී සඳහන් කළා.
