The Police Media Division states that an increase in the number of devotees arriving for the ‘Siri Dalada Wandana’ today (20).
Accordingly, issuing a statement, the Police Media Division has indicated that as of around 9.00 pm yesterday (19), more than fifty thousand devotees had gathered in Kandy city for the ‘Siri Dalada Wandana’ today and that the number is expected to exceed one hundred thousand by this morning.
Also, since today is a weekend day, the number may increase further by this afternoon, the statement further states.
The ‘Siri Dalada Wandana’, which began on April 18, marks its third day today.
Devotees also have 7 more days left for the ‘Siri Dalada Pandana’.
Accordingly, the Police Media Division further informs the public in its statement that by skipping today and using a future date, devotees will be able to worship easily.

අද (20) දිනයේදී ‘සිරි දළදා වන්දනාව’ වෙනුවෙන් පැමිණෙන බැතිමතුන්ගේ වර්ධනයක් අපේක්ෂා කරන බව පොලිස් මාධ්ය කොට්ඨාසය සඳහන් කරනවා.
ඒ අනුව නිවේදනයක් නිකුත් කරමින් පොලිස් මාධ්ය කොට්ඨාසය පෙන්වා දී ඇත්තේ, ඊයේ (19) රාත්රී 9.00 පමණ වන විටත් අද දිනයේදී ‘සිරි දළදා වන්දනාව’ වෙනුවෙන් පනස්දහසකට අධික සැදැහැවතුන් පිරිසක් මහනුවර නගරයට එක්රැස්ව සිටි බවත් එම ප්රමාණය අද පෙරවරු කාලය තුළ ලක්ෂය ඉක්මවා යනු ඇතැයි අපේක්ෂා කරන බවයි.
එමෙන්ම අද දිනය සති අන්ත දිනයක් වන හෙයින්, පස්වරු කාලය වන විට එම ප්රමාණය තවදුරටත් ඉහළ යා හැකි බව එම නිවේදනයේ වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන්.
ඉකුත් අප්රේල් 18 වැනිදා ආරම්භ කෙරුණු ‘සිරි දළදා වන්දනාව’ අද එහි තෙවන දිනය සනිටුහන් කරයි.
එමෙන්ම බැතිමතුන් හට ‘සිරි දළදා වන්දනාව’ උදෙසා තවත් දින 07ක කාලයක් ඉතිරිව පවතියි.
ඒ අනුව පොලිස් මාධ්ය කොට්ඨාසය වැඩිදුරටත් සිය නිවේදනයෙන් මහජනයා වෙත දන්වා සිටින්නේ, අද දිනය මඟහැර ඉදිරි දිනයක් යොදාගැනීම තුළින් බැතිමතුන් හට පහසුවෙන් වන්දනාමාන කරගැනීමට හැකියාව ලැබෙනු ඇති බවයි.
