Information regarding the false registration of vehicles imported into the country has been revealed at the Committee on Public Accounts (COPA Committee).
Deputy Minister of Transport Prasanna Gunasena says that a special committee will be appointed to investigate this matter.
He stated that this step will be taken based on the recommendations of the COPA Committee.
The recommendations made by the committee will be presented to Parliament and legal action will be taken against the officials involved in this racket, the Deputy Minister further said.

මෙරටට ගෙන්වන ලද වාහන ව්යාජ ලෙස ලියාපදංචි කිරීම සම්බන්ධ තොරතුරු රජයේ ගිණුම් පිළිබඳ කාරක සභාවේදී (කෝපා කමිටුව) හෙළිදරව් වී තිබේ.

එම කමිටුව ඉදිරිපත් කරන නිර්දේශ පාර්ලිමේන්තුවට ඉදිරිපත් කර, මෙම ජාවාරමට සම්බන්ධ නිලධාරීන්ට එරෙහිව නීතිමය පියවර ගන්නා බව නියෝජ්ය අමාත්යවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් පැවසීය.
