Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne has today (11) signed his certificate for the Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill.
Accordingly, the Parliamentary Communications Department stated that this Bill will come into force as the Value Added Tax (Amendment) Act No. 04 of 2025.
The second reading debate on this Bill was held on April 09, and the Bill was passed in Parliament without a vote after the third reading.
VAT සංශෝධන පනත් කෙටුම්පතට කථානායක අත්සන් තබයි
එකතුකළ අගය මත බදු (සංශෝධන) පනත් කෙටුම්පත සඳහා කථානායක වෛද්ය ජගත් වික්රමරත්න අද (11) සිය සහතිකය සටහන් කර තිබෙනවා.
ඒ අනුව මෙම පනත් කෙටුම්පත 2025 අංක 04 දරන එකතු කළ අගය මත බදු (සංශෝධන) පනත වශයෙන් බලාත්මක වන බවයි පාර්ලිමේන්තු සන්නිවේදන දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව සඳහන් කළේ.
මෙම පනත් කෙටුම්පත දෙවැනි වර කියවීමේ විවාදය පසුගිය අප්රේල් 09 වැනිදා පැවැත්වුණු අතර, පනත් කෙටුම්පත තෙවනවර කියවීමෙන් පසු ඡන්ද විමසීමකින් තොරව පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේදී සම්මත වුණා.
