The Attorney General has filed fresh indictments before the Colombo High Court against Yoshitha Rajapaksa and his grandmother Daisy Forrest.

This is in connection with maintaining a joint account of Rs. 59 million, the source of which cannot be disclosed.

Investigations have revealed that Daisy Forrest is not a wealthy woman.

It has also been revealed that she is dependent on the income of the Rajapaksa family.

Meanwhile, the Attorney General had previously filed indictments before the Colombo High Court against Yoshitha Rajapaksa and Daisy Forrest under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

යෝෂිත රාජපක්ෂ හා ඔහුගේ මිත්තනියක වන ඩේසි ෆොරස්ට් මහත්මියට නීතිපතිවරයා කොළඹ මහාධිකරණය හමුවේ යළිත් අධි චෝදනා ගොනුකර තිබේ.

ඒ, උපයාගත් ආකාරය හෙළිදරව් කළ නොහැකි රුපියල් මිලියන 59 ක හවුල් ගිණුමක් පවත්වාගෙන යාම සම්බන්ධයෙන් ය.

විමර්ශනවලදි හෙළි වී ඇත්තේ, ඩේසි ෆොරස්ට් වත්කම් ඇති කාන්තාවක් නොවන බවයි.

ඇය රාජපක්ෂ පවුලේ ආදායමෙන් යැපෙන්නියක බවද හෙළිව තිබේ.

මේ අතර මුදල් විශුද්ධිකරණය වැළැක්වීමේ පනත යටතේ යෝෂිත රාජපක්ෂ සහ ඩේසි ෆොරස්ට්ට මීට පෙර නීතිපතිවරයා කොළඹ මහාධිකරණය හමුවේ අධිචෝදනා පත්‍ර ගොනු කළේ ය.
