The official welcoming ceremony for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in the country, is currently being held at the Independence Square in Colombo.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake at around 8:30 pm last night on an Indian Airlines flight, commencing his two-day state visit to Sri Lanka at the invitation of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
The Indian Prime Minister is embarking on this visit affirming the concept of “a century-old friendship, a bond for a prosperous future” between the two countries.

ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතාගේ ආරාධනයකට අනුව සිය දෙදින ශ්රී ලංකා රාජ්ය සංචාරය අරඹමින් ඉන්දියානු අග්රාමාත්ය නරේන්ද්ර මෝදි මහතා ඊයේ රාත්රී 8:30ට පමණ ඉන්දියානු ගුවන් සේවයට අයත් යානයකින් කටුනායක බණ්ඩාරනායක ජාත්යන්තර ගුවන්තොටුපොළට පැමිණියේය.
දෙරට අතර “සියවස් මිතුදමක සෞභාග්යමත් අනාගතයකට බැඳීමක්” යන සංකල්පය තහවුරු කරමින් ඉන්දිය අග්රාමාත්යවරයා මෙම සංචාරයේ නිරත වෙයි.
