Sena Dissanayake, who served as a member of the Kandy Municipal Council, Opposition Leader, Deputy Mayor and Mayor for 42 consecutive years, is an alumnus of Kandy Vidyartha College. He will contest the Mahaweli Uyana division under the Samagi Jana Balawegaya symbol this time, former Mayor Sena Dissanayake said, and he also signed his nomination today at an auspicious time.
Sena Dissanayake expressed his gratitude to the people of Kandy for appointing him as a public representative without defeat since the first election in 1983. He further stated that he expects everyone’s support in the election in which Sena Dissanayake will contest this time as well.
