The Railway Department has taken steps to implement a special train schedule for the upcoming school holidays and Sri Pada pilgrimage season.
Accordingly, this special train schedule is scheduled to be implemented from Colombo Fort to Badulla and Kankesantura.
Accordingly, two special trains will run from Colombo Fort to Badulla on both sides on the 12th, 14th, 16th, 21st, 23rd, 28th and 31st of this month, and the train will depart from Colombo Fort at 7.30 pm and from Badulla at 5.30 pm, the department said.
The Railway Department further stated that two special trains will operate daily from Colombo Fort to Kankesanthurai from the 13th to the 31st of this month, departing from Colombo Fort at 5.30 am and from Kankesanthurai at 1.50 pm.
එළැඹෙන පාසල් නිවාඩුව සහ ශ්රී පාද වන්දනා සමය වෙනුවෙන් විශේෂ දුම්රිය ධාවන සැලසුමක් ක්රියාත්මක කිරීමට දුම්රිය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව පියවර ගෙන තිබේ.
ඒ අනුව කොළඹ කොටුව සිට බදුල්ල සහ කන්කසන්තුර දක්වා මෙම විශේෂ දුම්රිය ධාවන සැලසුම ක්රියාත්මක වීමට නියමිතව තිබේ.
ඒ අනුව කොළඹ කොටුව – බදුල්ල දෙපසට විශේෂ දුම්රිය දෙකක් මෙම මස 12, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28 සහ 31 දින හතේ ධාවනය කරන බවත් එම දුම්රිය කොළඹ කොටුවෙන් රාත්රී 7.30 ට ද, බදුල්ලෙන් පස්වරු 5.30 ට ද, පිටත්වන බවත් එම දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව කීය.
කොළඹ කොටුව – කන්කසන්තුරේ දක්වා දෙපසට විශේෂ දුම්රිය දෙකක් මේ මස 13 වැනිදා සිට 31 වැනිදා දක්වා දිනපතා ධාවනය කරන බවත් එම දුම්රිය කොළඹ කොටුවෙන් පෙරවරු 5.30 ට ද, කන්කසන්තුරයෙන් පස්වරු 1.50 ට ද, පිටත්වන බවත් දුම්රිය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව වැඩි දුරටත් සඳහන් කළේය.
