Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne assented to the Local Government Elections (Special Provisions) Bill on the 17th.
The Speaker has assented to the bill in accordance with Article 79 of the Constitution.
The second reading debate on the bill was held on the 17th from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm and was passed in Parliament by a special majority vote without amendment.
The bill was presented to Parliament for first reading on 9th January 2025.
Accordingly, the bill will come into force as the Local Government Elections (Special Provisions) Act, No. 01 of 2025.
පළාත් පාලන පනත් කෙටුම්පතට කථානායක අත්සන් කරයි
පළාත් පාලන ආයතන ඡන්ද විමසීම් (විශේෂ විධිවිධාන) පනත් කෙටුම්පත සඳහා කථානායක වෛද්ය ජගත් වික්රමරත්න මහතා 17 වැනි දින සිය සහතිකය සටහන් කළා.
ආණ්ඩුක්රම ව්යවස්ථාවේ 79 වැනි ව්යවස්ථාව ප්රකාරව කථානායකවරයා විසින් එම සහතිකය සටහන් කර තිබෙනවා.
පනත් කෙටුම්පතට අදාළ දෙවනවර කියවීමේ විවාදය 17 වෙනි දින ප.ව 2.00 සිට ප.ව 7.00 දක්වා පැවැත්වීමෙන් අනතුරුව සංශෝධන රහිතව විශේෂ බහුතර ඡන්දයෙන් පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේදී සම්මත වුණා.
මෙම පනත් කෙටුම්පත 2025 ජනවාරි 9 වැනි දින පළමුවර කියවීම සඳහා පාර්ලිමේන්තුවට ඉදිරිපත් කෙරුණා.
ඒ අනුව මෙම පනත් කෙටුම්පත 2025 අංක 01 දරන පළාත් පාලන ආයතන ඡන්ද විමසීම් (විශේෂ විධිවිධාන) පනත ලෙස බලාත්මක වනු ඇති.
