Litro Company has stated that the approval of the Ministry of Finance has not yet been received for the gas price revision for the month of February.
However, a spokesperson for the company stated that the recommendations related to the gas price revision were submitted to the Ministry of Finance for approval in the first week of this month.
Gas prices in the country are revised monthly according to the world market gas prices and are announced on the 4th of every month.
However, the gas price revision for the month of February has not been announced yet and a spokesperson for Litro Company stated that all the recommendations related to the gas price revision have already been submitted to the Ministry of Finance and it cannot be announced without the approval of the Ministry.
However, the spokesperson stated that it is expected that the relevant recommendations will be received within the next week.
However, there has been no change in gas prices in the past few months and Litro has indicated in previous price revisions that it has decided to maintain gas prices unchanged so that the people do not face difficulties despite the increase in gas prices in the world market.
Meanwhile, Laugfs Chairman W. K. H. Wegapitiya stated that there will be no change in gas prices for the month of February.

කෙසේවෙතත් ගතවූ මාස කිහිපය තුළ ගෑස් මිලෙහි වෙනසක් සිදු නොවූ අතර ලෝක වෙළෙඳපොළේ ගෑස් මිල ගණන් ඉහළ ගිය ද ජනතාව දුෂ්කරතාවට පත් නොවීම සඳහා ගෑස් මිල නොවෙනස්ව පවත්වාගෙන යාමට තීරණය කළ බව පසුගිය මිල සංශෝධනවල දී ලිට්රෝ සමාගම පෙන්වා දෙනවා.
