The Police Media Division says that four officers have been transferred and appointed.
The appointments have been made with the approval of the National Police Commission.
Accordingly, the transfers have been made with effect from 12.02.2025.
- Senior DIG K.V.D.A.J. Karawita has been transferred from the post of Senior DIG Community Police Tourism and Investment to the post of Senior DIG Criminal Investigations and Financial Crimes Investigations.
- The duties of DIG P. Mr. Liyanage has been transferred from the post of DIG in charge of the Western Province (Motor Vehicles) Division to the post of DIG in charge of the Western (Northern) Division with immediate effect.
- Performance of duties DIG M.D.P. Dayaratne has been transferred from the post of DIG in charge of the Ratnapura Division to the Financial Crimes Investigation Division.
In addition, the Acting IGP has appointed DIG S.M.Y. Seneviratne to cover the duties of the DIG in charge of the Ratnapura Division in addition to the DIG Kegalle Division with effect from 12.02.2025.

ඒ අනුව, 2025.02.12 වනදා සිට ක්රියාත්මක වන පරිදි ස්ථාන මාරුවීම් ලබා දී ඇත.
- ජ්යෙෂ්ඨ නියෝජ්ය පොලිස්පති කේ.වී.ඩී.ඒ.ජේ. කරවිට මහතාව ජ්යෙෂ්ඨ නියෝජ්ය පොලිස්පති ප්රජා පොලිස් සංචාරක හා ආයෝජන තනතුරේ සිට ජ්යෙෂ්ඨ නියෝජ්ය පොලිස්පති අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ හා මූල්ය අපරාධ විමර්ශන ලෙස ස්ථාන මාරුවීම් ලබා දී ඇත.
- රාජකාරි ඉටු කිරීම නියෝජ්ය පොලිස්පති පී. ලියනගේ මහතාව බස්නාහිර පළාත (රථ වාහන) දිසාව භාර නියෝජ්ය පොලිස්පති තනතුරේ රාජකාරි ඉටු කිරීමේ සිට බස්නාහිර (උතුර) දිසාව භාර නියෝජ්ය පොලිස්පති තනතුරේ රාජකාරි ඉටු කිරිම සඳහා වහාම ක්රියාත්මක වන පරිදි මාරුවීම් ලබා දී තිබේ.
- රාජකාරි ඉටු කිරීම නියෝජ්ය පොලිස්පති එම්.ඩී.පී. දයාරත්න මහතාව රත්නපුර දිසාව භාර නියෝජ්ය පොලිස්පති තනතුරේ රාජකාරි ඉටු කිරීමේ සිට මූල්ය අපරාධ විමර්ශන දිසාවේ රාජකාරි ඉටු කිරිම සඳහා මාරුවීම් ලබා දී ඇත.
මීට අමතරව, වැඩබලන පොලිස්පතිවරයා විසින් විශේෂ රාජකාරි පදනම යටතේ 2025.02.12 වන දින සිට නියෝජ්ය පොලිස්පති එස්.එම්.වයි. සෙනෙවිරත්න මහතාව නියෝජ්ය පොලිස්පති කෑගල්ල දිසාවට අමතරව රත්නපුර දිසාව භාර නියෝජ්ය පොලිස්පති තනතුරේ රාජකාරි ආවරණය කිරීම සඳහා ද පත් කිරීම සිදු කර තිබේ.
