US President Donald Trump has announced that he will revoke former President Joe Biden’s access to intelligence information.
Trump issued a statement yesterday (07) stating that this step is being taken because Biden has no need to access intelligence information.
Foreign reports indicate that this step by the US President is “retaliation against opponents”.
However, it is reported that Biden has not immediately responded to Trump’s decision.
Former US presidents have traditionally been granted access to intelligence information as requested. However, such access is provided at the sole discretion of the current president and is associated with a formal security clearance process.
Biden had previously issued a statement shortly after taking office that he should not have access to intelligence information due to Trump’s efforts to overturn the outcome of the 2020 presidential election

කෙසේ නමුත් ට්රම්ප්ගේ මෙම තීරණය සම්බන්ධයෙන්, බයිඩ්න් වහාම ප්රතිචාර දක්වා නොමැති බවත් සඳහන්.
