Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuiyakontha (Retd) said that the current government will not take steps to maintain the post of Chief of Defence Staff.
He stated this at a media briefing held on the 29th.
“We do not expect to maintain the post of Chief of Defence Staff. We will take care of the work related to that through the Ministry of Defence.”
