The President emphasized that the vehicle market should be opened gradually.
Accordingly, the President also stated that the vehicle market will be opened in three categories.
The President further stated that passenger transport buses and motor vehicles used for special purposes have been opened for import from December 14.
The President also stated that it has been proposed to implement the import of motor vehicles for the transport of goods and for personal use from February 1, 2025.
However, the President further emphasized that no party should fear that a dollar crisis will emerge in the country with the commencement of vehicle imports.

මගී ප්රවාහන බස් හා විශේෂ කාර්යන් සඳහා භාවිත කරන මෝටර් රථ වාහන දෙසැම්බර් 14 වැනිදා සිට ආනනය කිරීමට විවෘත කර ඇති බව ජනාධිපතිවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කළා.
එමෙන්ම, ජනාධිපතිවරයා පවසා සිටියේ භාණ්ඩ ප්රවාහනය සඳහා සහ පෞද්ගලික භාවිතය සඳහා මෝටර් රථ වාඅහන ආනයනය 2025 වසරේ පෙබරවාරි මස පළමු දින සිට ක්රියාත්මක කිරීම සඳහා යෝජනා කර ඇති බවයි.
කෙසේවෙතත්, වාහන ආනයනය ආරම්භ කිරීමත් සමඟ රට තුල ඩොලර් අර්බුදයක් මතුවනු ඇති බවට කිසිදු පාර්ශවයක් විසින් බියක් ඇති කර නොගත යුතු බවද ජනාධිපතිවරයා මෙහිදී තවදුරටත් අවධාරණය කළා.
