The Department of Census and Statistics has published the estimate of Gross Domestic Product and other All-Economic Indicators at current prices and at constant prices under the production approach for the third quarter of 20214.
Accordingly, the growth of Gross Domestic Product in the third quarter of 2024 has recorded a positive growth of 5.5 percent.
It is also stated that in the third quarter of 2024, agricultural activities, industrial economic activities, and service economic activities have recorded a growth of 3.0 percent, 10.8 percent, and 2.6 percent respectively.

ජනලේඛන හා සංඛ්යාලේඛන දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් 20214 වර්ෂයේ තෙවන කාර්තුව සඳහා නිෂ්පාදන ප්රවේශය යටතේ පවත්නා මිල ගණන් යටතේ සහ ස්ථාවර මිල ගණන් යටතේ දළ දේශීය නිෂ්පාදිතය සහ අනෙකුත් සර්ව ආර්ථික දර්ශක ඇස්තමේන්තුව ප්රකාශයට පත්කොට තිබෙනවා .
ඒ අනුව 2024 වර්ෂයේ තෙවන කාර්තුවේ දළ දේශීය නිෂ්පාදිතයේ වර්ධනය සියයට 5.5 ක ධනාත්මක වර්ධනයක් වාර්තා කර තිබෙනවා .
එමෙන්ම 2024 වර්ෂයේ තෙවන කාර්තුවේදී කෘෂිකාර්මික කටයුතු ,කර්මාන්ත ආර්ථික කටයුතු ,සේවා ආර්ථික කටයුතු පිළිවෙලින් සියයට 3.0, සියයට 10.8 ක් සහ සියයට 2.6 ක් වශයෙන් ධන වර්ධනයක් වාර්තා කර තිබෙන බවයි සඳහන් වන්නේ
