At a development committee meeting held in Jaffna district yesterday (14), all those present have demanded that Jaffna District Parliamentarian Dr. Ramanathan Archuna be removed from the meeting.
The MP had been shouting and threatening the officials present at the Jaffna District Development Committee meeting.
When matters related to development activities in Jaffna were discussed, he started shouting and opposing the views expressed by the officials, so the Jaffna MPs and government officials have demanded that he be removed from the meeting hall.
It is said that the Jaffna District Development Committee meeting had to be stopped for a few minutes as the officials firmly stated that they would leave the meeting if steps were not taken to remove him.
At this point, Minister Ramalingam Chandrasekar, Minister of Fisheries and Chairman of the Jaffna District Development Committee, has resolved the situation and reconvened the meeting.

යාපනයේ සංවර්ධන කටයුතු පිළිබදව කරුණු සාකච්ඡා වූ අවස්ථාවේදි නිලධාරීන් විසින් දක්වන අදහස්වලට විරුද්ධ අදහස් දක්වමින් කෑකෝ ගසන්නට පටන් ගැනීම නිසා යාපනයේ මන්ත්රීවරු හා රාජ්ය නිලධාරීන් ඔහුව රැස්වීම් ශාලාවෙන් ඉවත් කරන ලෙස ඉල්ලා තිබෙනවා.
ඔහු ඉවත් කිරීමට පියවර නොගන්නේ නම් තමන් රැස්වීමෙන් පිටව යන බව නිලධාරීන් තරයේම ප්රකාශ කිරීම නිසා යාපනය දිස්ත්රික් සංවර්ධන කමිටු රැස්වීමේ කටයුතු විනාඩි කිහිපයකට නතර කිරීමට සිදුවූ බවයි පැවසෙන්නේ.
මේ අවස්ථාවේදී ධීවර අමාත්ය හා යාපනය දිස්ත්රික් සංවර්ධන කමිටුවේ සභාපති රාමලිංගම් චන්ද්රසේකර් අමාත්යවරයා උදා වූ තත්ත්වය සමථයකට පත් කරගෙන රැස්වීම නැවත පවත්වා තිබෙනවා.
