Former Director of the Colombo Crimes Division, Assistant Superintendent of Police Neville Silva, has been arrested.
By the Criminal Investigation Department.
Police said he was arrested at the Police Field Force Headquarters.
He has been arrested in connection with an incident of kidnapping and wrongful confinement, it is reported.
