නාඩු සහල් රුපියල් 220ක පාලන මිලට එසේ ලබාදෙන බවත් සීමා නොකළහොත් තොග වෙළෙඳුන් පැමිණ එම මිලට ලබාගෙන නැවත රුපියල් 235-240 වැනි වැඩි මිලකට විකුණනු ඇති බවද හෙතෙම කියා සිටී.
‘ඔබ දන්නව දැන් අද නඩු මිල මේ තියෙන ව්යාපාරිකයන්ගේ තත්ත්වය මත 235-240 ඒ වගේ ගණන්වලට එළිය විකුණනවා. ඉතින් අපි සතොස මගින් ලබා දෙනකොට සමහර වෙලාවට විශේෂයෙන් තොග වෙළඳුන් මේ අය සතොසෙන් 220ට අරගෙන එළියෙ 240ට විකුණනවා. ඉතින් අපි ඒක නවත්තන්න හින්දයි අවශ්යම අපේ පාරිභෝගිකයන්ට අවශ්යම අයට පමණක් ඇවිල්ලා අරගෙන යන්න කිලෝ පහක් ලබාදෙන්නෙ ඒ පදනම මතයි.“ යනුවෙන් සභාපතිවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් පැවසීය.
Rice is provided only to the essentials – Sathosa Chairman

Sathosa Chairman Samitha Perera states that the Sathosa institution has imposed a limit of five kilos of rice to be collected only by those who need it.
He says that Nadu rice is provided at the controlled price of Rs. 220 and that if the limit is not imposed, wholesalers will come and buy it at that price and sell it again at a higher price of Rs. 235-240.
‘You know, now, depending on the situation of the businessmen with the current case price, they sell rice at prices like 235-240. So when we provide it through Sathosa, sometimes wholesalers in particular buy it from Sathosa at 220 and sell it at 240 outside. So, we are stopping that and are providing five kilos to our customers who need it and only those who need it, on that basis,’ the Chairman added.
