The Human Rights Protection Organization (HRPO), an organization committed to protecting human rights and strengthening people’s health rights, has appointed Dr. Fathima Raziyya Mohamed Ismail as its new Director of Health & Human Rights.
The appointment was officially made by the chief Executive Director of HRPO, Dr. M. M. Shafaan, at the organization’s Head Office in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Under this appointment, Dr. Fathima Raziyya will serve as the Director of Health & Human Rights – HRPO and also as the HRPO Representative – UAE (United Arab Emirates), undertaking responsibilities related to national and international affairs.
The primary objective of this appointment is to strengthen efforts at national and international levels to protect health rights, human dignity, equality, and the fundamental rights of individuals.
In particular, her role is expected to focus on promoting awareness of the human rights of Sri Lankan citizens in the United Arab Emirates and other international settings, identifying issues related to health and human rights, coordinating with relevant institutions, and strengthening initiatives aimed at protecting human rights.
HRPO believes that this appointment will further expand the organization’s international relations and create new opportunities to implement initiatives in the fields of health and human rights.
The Human Rights Protection Organization extends its sincere congratulations and best wishes to Dr. Fathima Raziya Mohamed Ismaili and wishes her every success in carrying out her new responsibilities.

මානව හිමිකම් හා සෞඛ්‍ය අංශයේ නව අධ්‍යක්ෂවරිය ලෙස වෛද්‍ය ෆාතිමා රසියා මහත්මිය පත් කෙරේ – එක්සත් අරාබි එමීර් රාජ්‍යයේ HRPO නියෝජිතවරිය ලෙසත් පත් කිරීමක්!
මානව හිමිකම් ආරක්ෂා කිරීම සහ ජනතාවගේ සෞඛ්‍ය අයිතිවාසිකම් ශක්තිමත් කිරීම අරමුණු කරගනිමින් ක්‍රියාත්මක වන මානව හිමිකම් ආරක්ෂණ සංවිධානයේ (Human Rights Protection Organization – HRPO) නව අධ්‍යක්ෂවරියක ලෙස වෛද්‍ය ෆාතිමා රසියා මොහොමඩ් ඉස්මයිල් මහත්මිය පත් කර තිබේ.
ඒ අනුව, කොළඹ පිහිටි මානව හිමිකම් ආරක්ෂණ සංවිධානයේ ප්‍රධාන කාර්යාලයේදී පැවැති අවස්ථාවකදී සංවිධානයේ ප්‍රධාන විධායක අධ්‍යක්ෂ ආචාර්ය එම්. එම්. සෆාන් මහතා විසින් මෙම පත්වීම සිදුකරන ලදී.
මෙම පත්වීම යටතේ වෛද්‍ය ෆාතිමා රසියා මහත්මිය මානව හිමිකම් හා සෞඛ්‍ය අංශයේ අධ්‍යක්ෂවරිය (Director of Health & Human Rights – HRPO) ලෙසත්, එක්සත් අරාබි එමීර් රාජ්‍යයේ HRPO නියෝජිතවරිය (Representative – UAE) ලෙසත් ජාතික හා ජාත්‍යන්තර කටයුතු සම්බන්ධ වගකීම් භාරගෙන කටයුතු කිරීමට නියමිතය.
සෞඛ්‍ය අයිතිවාසිකම්, මානව ගරුත්වය, සමානාත්මතාව සහ ජනතාවට හිමි මූලික අයිතිවාසිකම් ආරක්ෂා කිරීම වෙනුවෙන් ජාතික හා ජාත්‍යන්තර මට්ටමින් කටයුතු කිරීම මෙම පත්වීමේ ප්‍රධාන අරමුණ වේ.
විශේෂයෙන්ම එක්සත් අරාබි එමීර් රාජ්‍යය ඇතුළු ජාත්‍යන්තර පරිසරය තුළ ශ්‍රී ලාංකික ජනතාවගේ මානව හිමිකම් පිළිබඳ අවධානය යොමු කිරීම, සෞඛ්‍ය හා මානව හිමිකම් සම්බන්ධ ගැටලු හඳුනාගැනීම, අදාළ ආයතන සමඟ සම්බන්ධීකරණය සහ මානව හිමිකම් ආරක්ෂා කිරීමේ වැඩසටහන් ශක්තිමත් කිරීම සඳහා මෙම තනතුර වැදගත් වනු ඇතැයි අපේක්ෂා කෙරේ.
මෙම පත්වීම තුළින් මානව හිමිකම් ආරක්ෂණ සංවිධානයේ ජාත්‍යන්තර සම්බන්ධතා තවදුරටත් පුළුල් කිරීමටත්, සෞඛ්‍ය හා මානව හිමිකම් ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ නව වැඩපිළිවෙළ රැසක් ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමටත් අවස්ථාව සැලසෙනු ඇතැයි සංවිධානය විශ්වාසය පළ කරයි.
වෛද්‍ය ෆාතිමා රසියා මොහොමඩ් ඉස්මයිලි මහත්මියට නව තනතුරේ වගකීම් සාර්ථකව ඉටු කිරීමට හැකි වේවායි මානව හිමිකම් ආරක්ෂණ සංවිධානය සුබපැතුම් එක් කරයි.
