The President, who visited the Mihintale Rajamaha Viharaya in Anuradhapura for the National Poson Festival, was presented with an honorary award by the Chief Incumbent of Mihintale, Walawahengunawewe Dhammarathathana Thero.
Accordingly, the President was presented with the honorary title of Maha Mahendra Prasadini for providing full state support to the state Poson festival this time.
This year’s National Poson Festival will be held under the theme of “Enrich the World with the Teachings of the Buddha” centered around Mihintale, Anuradhapura.
This year, it will be held as the 2,333rd State Poson Festival.

ජාතික පොසොන් උත්සවයට අනුරාධපු මිහින්තලේ රජමහා විහාරයට පැමිණ සිටි ජනාධිපතිවරයාට මිහින්තලේ විහාරාධිපති වලවාහැංගුණවැවේ ධම්මරතතන හිමියන් ගෞරව සම්මානයක් පිරිනංවා තිබේ.
ඒ අනුව මෙවර රාජ්ය පොසොන් උත්සයට පූර්ණ රාජ්ය අනුග්රහය දැක්වීම වෙනුවෙන් ජනාධිපතිවරයාට මහා මහේන්ද්ර ප්රසාදිනි යන ගෞරව නාමය මෙහිදී පිළිගැන්විය.
අනුබුදු දහමින් ලොවම නිවේවා යන තේමාව යටතේ මෙවර ජාතික පොසොන් උත්සවය අනුරාධපුර මිහින්තලය කේන්ද්ර කරගනිමින් පැවැත්වේ.
එය මෙවර පැවැත්වෙනුයේ 2,333 වැනි රාජ්ය පොසොන් උත්සවය ලෙසය.
