President Anura Kumara Dissanayake emphasized that he will provide the country with an assurance that the political authority will not defraud or waste even a single rupee of the tax money paid by the people to the government.
Also, the President said that if any politician or public official engages in such an act, he will intervene to impose the maximum punishment regardless of rank. He also said that in order to do justice to the tax money paid by the people, he will take steps to completely dismantle the black mechanism operating against it.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake stated this at the “Tax Power” National Program to Increase Tax Compliance and Tax Base held at the Presidential Secretariat this morning (02).

ජනතාව රජයට ගෙවනු ලබන බදු මුදලින් රුපියලක්වත් දේශපාලන අධිකාරිය විසින් වංචා නොකරන සහ නාස්ති නොකරන බවට වන සහතිකය තමා රටට ලබා දෙන බව ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතා අවධාරණය කළේය.
එමෙන්ම, යම් දේශපාලනඥයකු හෝ රාජ්ය නිලධාරියකු එවන් ක්රියාවක නිරත වුවහොත් තරාතිරම නොබලා උපරිම දඬුවම් ලබා දීමට මැදිහත් වන බව පැවසූ ජනාධිපතිවරයා ජනතාව ගෙවන බදු මුදලට සාධාරණය ඉටු කිරීම වෙනුවෙන්, ඊට එරෙහිව ක්රියාත්මක වූ කළු යාන්ත්රණය සම්පූර්ණයෙන් බිඳ දැමීමට කටයුතු කරන බවද කියා සිටියේය.
